Right before we enter class, Mr.Z checked our lesson outcomes 01 and after that, he told us there will be replacement class on Sunday, 12/2/2012 at 10 a.m. Then we started our lesson with the meaning of computer ethics and cyber laws.
Ethics -> a moral philosophy where a person makes a specific moral choice and sticks to it and computer Law -> a legal system comprising of rules. Under this ethics and law, we must respect the ownership, privacy and property. Other than that, IP or Intellectual Property are works created by inventors, authors and artist.
We also learn another topic which is privacy. In privacy, there is data -> collection of raw unprocessed facts, figures and symbols. There is also information -> processed data.
There are ways to threaten computers. For example: by using cookies, electronic profile or spyware.
Authentication is a process where users verify that they are who they say they are. For example: biometric is by identifying users through fingerprint, facial, hand, iris, retinal, voice, signature or the callback system which are commonly used in banks.
